impromptu holiday

I didn’t think we would get away this half term break but by the end of May I was feeling really frazzled and starting to pine for the sea. Luckily we managed to get some last minute availability at a caravan on Bwlchgwyn Farm in Fairbourne, (my fave holiday spot).

We set off very early on Monday morning to make the most of the three night stay. We usually stay at a friend’s cottage in Fairbourne but it was lovely to see another part of the area staying somewhere else. We stayed in a static caravan on a campsite with the most gorgeous views of the Mawddach Estuary and surrounded by ancient woodland. It may not have been super sunny but it didn’t rain during the days so we were able to enjoy Fairbourne’s large quiet beach, pony trekking and a trip to Aberdyfi.

Although this was only a short break it was very relaxing and it has really revived me and (temporarily) cured my craving for the sea.

      Thank you.
I can’t believe we we’re so lucky with the weather. If we’d gone a couple of days later I think we would have been floating home.
