suitcase of surprises

Yesterday I caught up with my sister while she was on a brief visit to the Midlands. It was so good to see her (and my niece and nephew). My kids were super excited to see their Aunty and “big” cousins. I don’t see them as much as I would like to because they live down in Devon. As I hadn’t seen my sister for some time there was a lot of catching up to do, including exchanging birthday presents. I was rather spoilt with a fantastic vintage “suitcase of surprises”. The idea behind the suitcase is that I can use it for fairs, for transportation and display (travelling salesperson!). I might customise the exterior (watch this space). The suitcase was full of lovely vintage finds including fabric, books, lace doilies and sewing supplies that I can’t wait to use in various projects. There was also some great handmade bunting made from upcycled plastic, pretty coloured knitting needles and super sweet clothes.
