I started February with a ‘Candlemas/Feastival of Light’. This wasn’t a true Candlemas celebration but it has been a tradition in my family for a long time to have tea with the lights off on the first Sunday of February. I used to go to my grandma’s and this year it was very meaningful to have my mum and aunty over for tea and carry on this tradition with my children.

My spirits have been lifted by the arrival of daffodils in the local florists….

….and snowdrops and primroses in the garden.

It’s been a busy month behind the scenes here at meeni. I’m working on a new website and I’ve recently joined Perfectly Perfect Presents so I’ve been taking lots of product shots. The front room has been turned into a photo studio!

 I’m happy that Winter seems to be nearly over, I always struggle with the dark cold days after Christmas, and I’m looking forward to the new life and new beginnings of March and Spring.
