There are so many extra things that need doing at this time of year and then we decided to decorate the front room as well. Actually I have been trying to do this for some time but other things just had be done first. Eventually it’s finished….

….and I’ll be able to start putting up the Christmas decorations tomorrow.  We did have to get a few finishing touches for the room today and to get these we tootled along to IKEA. I thought it was going to be horribly busy but luckily it wasn’t and we got what we wanted (plus a few little extras including some Christmas party stuff).

It’s been go, go, go today so no time to take many pics but I did snap these of some particularly Christmassy houses on this evening’s dog, walk.

I love fairy lights……just what we need on these dark days.
