Two Sunday blog posts in one today. Last Sunday we were away on a short break in Wales. We stayed in a little cottage on bwlchgwyn farm near to the beautiful Mawddach Estuary.

There were great views from the hills by the cottage.

We try and visit this bit of Wales every year, it is just so peaceful and beautiful. I had never been in the Autumn before though and it was lovely to see the area at this time of year.

Although it was only a short break it was good to get away and relax and breath in the wonderfully fresh, soft air of Gwynedd.

Back at home this week and today I cooked Sunday lunch for my mum, it’s her birthday tomorrow and this was a little family celebration.

I made a blackberry and apple crumble cake for the birthday cake.
