reworked bracelets

A girl can never have too many bracelets! But instead of buying new this simple tutorial shows you how to update old ones using left over snippets of fabric.

Materials

wood, metal or plastic bracelets

fabric

scissors

strong all purpose adhesive

Technique

Cut  fabric into strips about 1.5cm wide. A strip that’s about 30cm long will cover a bracelet. However, you can use a number of shorter lengths if you are using up off cuts.

Using the adhesive glue one end of the fabric to the inside of the bracelet. When this is secure start to wrap the fabric around the bracelet, overlapping the fabric so that the original bracelet doesn’t show through and making sure the fabric is taught.

If you are using several short lengths of fabric glue each new piece to the inside of the bracelet.

When you have covered the whole bracelet glue the last end of the fabric to the inside of the bracelet and leave to completely dry. And there you are, a new bracelet!
