I am making some decorations. These will probably turn into Christmas decorations but might also be good for wedding decorations. Inspired by some of the place setting decorations I made for the recent wedding fair I thought the vintage style decorations might also work well as Christmas decorations. I am enjoying trying out different finishes so as well as the vintage style I am experimenting with fabrics, different types of paper and painted details. I am looking at a range of patterns for these painted details but I am somewhat inspired by the embroidery in the “and so to” range of leaflets that I have in my collection. I have decided to cover the shapes on both sides and edge them with ribbon making them a bit more intricate than the wedding decorations, which need to be simpler and quicker to make.
